The City of Fall River has a new logo; here is the winner and the designers behind the 6 finalists

FALL RIVER, MA – The City of Fall River has a new logo.

A ceremony was held Tuesday to recognize each artist and announce the winner of the logo contest.

According to Mayor Paul Coogan, the city received over 200 entries from across the country and as far as the Philippines. A committee was assembled to narrow the entries down to the above 6 and put a vote to the public.

Motivated by the City’s decision to redesign the Fall River municipal website, Mayor Paul Coogan’s Office announced an open call for logo designs in the Fall of 2022.

Nadine Messier was declared the winner and received a $500 prize. She designed the #2 logo.

Sadie Krauzyk of Diman came in second and received $250 and gifts. Mayor Coogan also stated that Krauzyk will be doing face painting at events for the City.

Rounding out the 6 finalists were City Administrator Seth Aitken, designer Lance Gunberg of New Bedford, Thomas Giunta of Fall River, and Lylah Thibault of Diman who also received gifts.

Mayor Coogan also recognized Elaina Pevide, Special Projects & Media Coordinator for the City of Fall River, for her work on the logo contest.

At Tuesday’s event the City also gave away merchandise with the new logo.
