Taunton Police investigating shooting that injured 44-year-old man
TAUNTON — Chief Edward J. Walsh reports that the Taunton Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening.
At approximately 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, Taunton Police responded to the area of Mador Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police located the victim, a 44-year-old Taunton man, who had been shot. He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
The Taunton Fire Department and Brewster Ambulance also responded to the scene.
Police did not release details on a possible suspect.
The incident remains under active investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Taunton Police Detective Robert Kramer at 508-821-1475 ext. 3323.
