Taunton man facing multiple charges after allegedly stabbing elderly man multiple times
A Taunton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly repeatedly stabbing elderly man.
According to police, on Friday at approximately 5:00 p.m., a 911 caller reported to the Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center (which serves Abington) that a stabbing just occurred in the area of Rosie’s Liquors and Deli located at 751 Bedford Street. Multiple Officers responded to the area to investigate.
Upon arrival, Officers located the victim, a sixty- one-year-old male, who had been stabbed several times. While the Abington Fire Department attended to his wounds, the victim provided Officers with a description of the suspect. Officers immediately began to search for the suspect and with the assistance of the Department’s patrol K9, Kano, successfully located him at the Vinson Blanchard Garden Apartments located at 71 Shaw Avenue. Officers took the suspect into custody without incident and recovered a knife he had on him.
The Abington Fire Department transported the victim to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Officers arrested 26-year-old Devon B. Pelrine of Taunton. Pelrine was charged with Armed Assault to Murder, Armed Robbery, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon upon a person sixty years or older (3 counts), Threat to Commit a Crime (Murder), Disturbing the Peace, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon (2nd Offense).
Perline will be arraigned at the Brockton District Court.

The kid has a long record and surprise some bleeding hearts felt bad for him kept releasing him and this is what you get. Massachusetts politicians and judges have blood on their hands. Same people will now reduce the charges and he’ll serve 2 years and be back to raise more hell.
