A tattoo reportedly led to a stabbing this week and the arrest of a Rhode Island woman, police say.

According to police, on Wednesday at approximately 8:30 p.m., police responded to Lonsdale Avenue in Pawtucket for a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, a female victim was located and observed with serious lacerations to her arm.

The female was transported to RI Hospital where she underwent surgery and is in stable condition.

A suspect was also taken into custody on scene. The suspect has been identified as 41-year-old Glenda Requena Rosario of Lonsdale Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.

Investigation by detectives learned that the incident stemmed from the suspect getting a tattoo from the victim’s boyfriend which led to a feud between the two women. The victim and suspect also had been roommates recently.

Rosario is charged with Domestic Violence -Felony Assault/ Battery and Domestic Violence- Disorderly Conduct and was arraigned in Providence District Court on Thursday morning.

According to ABC6, Rosario entered no plea and was ordered by a judge to not contact the victim.
