Swansea motorcycle rider has long road to recovery after suffering head injury in crash
A 24-year-old motorcycle rider who was seriously injured in a Swansea multi-vehicle crash a week ago is facing a long road to recovery.
According to Swansea Police Lt. Patrick Mooney, on May 7th, police received 911 calls regarding a motorcycle vs car crash on Peters Road at about 8:00 p.m.
The 24-year-old male operator of the motorcycle was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Swansea Ambulance with serious injuries.
The 58-year-old female operator of the car was not injured.
According to those who know him, the victim in the crash was Swansea’s Griffin Ferreira.
“He’s still not awake and the extent of the damage can’t be known yet. He will have a long road ahead of him when he wakes up.”
By multiple accounts, Griffin is one of the nicest people you could meet and often sported his famous smile.
