Swansea man one of two arrested on gun and drug trafficking charges
Police arrested a man and a woman on drug trafficking charges Wednesday.
According to Boston Police, at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers assigned to the District C-6 (South Boston) and BPD Citywide Drug Control Units conducted an investigation which resulted in the arrests of Krystyle Snow, 33, of Lynn and Steven Chaves, 30, of Swansea on firearm and drug related charges in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard in Boston.
As a result of the arrests, the officers were able to safely recover a loaded 9mm handgun, several loose rounds of ammunition, 25 grams of crack cocaine, 22 grams of fentanyl and an undisclosed amount of money.
Both suspects are scheduled to appear in South Boston District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Trafficking Class A and B Drugs.
