Swansea man arrested on charges concerning solicitation of sexual acts from juveniles
A local man has been arrested on some disturbing charges.
According to Capt. Brian M. Wright, on Wednesday, at approx. 11:36 a.m., New London Police detectives and members of the FBI-New Haven Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force concluded a criminal investigation with the arrest of Aidan Mello, 19, of 26 Ian Street, Swansea, for Criminal Attempt/Sexual Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Attempt/Sexual Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Attempt/Risk of Injury to a Minor (2 counts), and Use of Computer to Entice a Minor to Engage in Sexual Activity (2 counts).
Criminal charges stem from Mello’s solicitation of sexual acts from juveniles, according to police.
A cash-surety bond of $100,000 was set.
