Suspect wanted in Tiverton, Dartmouth crimes arrested
A 27-year-old man wanted by several police departments was arrested in Bristol.
A 27-year-old local man, wanted by several police departments, was arrested in Bristol.
According to Tiverton Police Chief Patrick Jones, Cody Toolis was arrested Monday by Bristol PD.
Toolis had been wanted on a bank robbery at the Bank Newport branch located at 614 Main Road on April 2nd. He allegedly passed a note demanding money, threatened he had a weapon, and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
Toolis was turned over to Tiverton and arraigned today in Newport 2nd District Court on a charge of 2nd Degree Robbery. The bail set on that charge was 50K with surety. He was held without bail on the charge of being a fugitive from justice based on the Dartmouth Police charge of robbing an elderly woman.
