Surveillance at gas station by Fall River Police Department CAST Unit leads to drug trafficking arrest
The Fall River Police Department CAST Unit made a drug arrest over the weekend.
According to police, on Saturday, CAST Detectives conducted surveillance at a gas station in Fall River based on information that 35-year-old Leonard Starcher Jr., who had an active arrest warrant, was operating a vehicle in the area.
After confirming Leonard’s warrant status, detectives approached and detained him; a pat frisk revealed a concealed bag containing 52 grams of suspected cocaine in his pants.
Leonard was charged with trafficking cocaine (>36–<100 grams) and the outstanding warrant.
It was the second drug arrest made by the CAST Unit on Saturday.
