Structure inspections on I-195 from Seekonk to Dartmouth to cause exit closure
SEEKONK TO DARTMOUTH– The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced they will be performing ancillary structure inspections on I-195 westbound at exit 14A (Route 24) from Seekonk to Dartmouth.
Inspections will take place nightly, from Monday August 12, to Friday, August 16, from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. each night. During the evening of Thursday, August 15, I-195 westbound exit 14A to Route 24 southbound will be closed, with a detour in place.

Traveling I-195 westbound
- Continue straight on I-195 westbound
- Take exit 13 towards Plymouth Avenue
- Turn left onto Plymouth Avenue
- Turn left onto exit to I-195 eastbound
- Take exit 14A for Route 24 southbound
Road closures on the ramp will be in place as needed while work is ongoing. Emergency vehicles will be allowed passage at all times.
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
