Stop by Massachusetts man results in $1,000,000 scratch ticket prize and some good news for his children
A stop by a Massachusetts man resulted in a big win on a state scratch ticket and also some good news for his children.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Alejandro Melendez Delgado has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “100X The Money” instant ticket game.
Delgado, who is a chef from of Marshfield, purchased his ticket while stopping to get gas for his vehicle. He opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans on putting some of his winnings toward his two kids’ education.
He bought his winning ticket at Speedway located at 2139 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
