State Rep. Fiola, State Senator Rodrigues, hosting dedication of ramp in Fall River for former Rep

Fall River, MA – State Representative Carole Fiola and State Senator Michael Rodrigues have announced a dedication that is taking place in Fall River this week.

In memory of State Representative Manuel Raposa Jr., Fiola and Rodrigues will be hosting Friday a Boat Ramp Dedication Ceremony at the boat ramp at Bicentennial State Park to honor and remember Representative Raposo and his diligent work for the community.

“Former State Representative Raposa made a remarkable impact on our city, including the preservation of the Fall River Boat Ramp.”

A World War II Veteran, Raposa was a representative across Bristol County, including parts of Fall River, in the mid/late 60s and 70s and resided in Somerset according to state archives. He was edged out by Joan Menard in the 1978 5th Bristol District Democrat primary.
