State Police investigating as name of Rhode Island victim released concerning fatal highway crash
A Rhode Island woman has died from injuries sustained in a recent highway crash.
According to Connecticut State Police, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to Route 2 Eastbound in the area of Exit 22 for a reported one car motor vehicle collision.
During the initial investigation, it was determined that 51-year-old Danielle Helen Tessier of Providence veered off the roadway left and struck a bridge abutment.
Tessier was pronounced deceased at the scene.
