Southern New England experiences at least the 6th earthquake since May

Did you feel it? Some in southeastern Massachusetts did as an earthquake was registered.

According to the United States Geological Survey National Earthquake Information Center, a 2.1 magnitude tremor was recorded just before 3:00 p.m. in between Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

A group of residents reported feeling the quake to the organization.

The earthquake measured 10.8 km deep.

At the end of September, a magnitude 1.8 at 1:54 p.m. was reported 2km south of the center of Boxborough, which is in the northeastern part of the state.

In mid-June, a 1.6 tremor was located 3 km NNW of Portsmouth Rhode Island.

A few Rhode Island residents reported feeling a magnitude 2.2 earthquake that took place 18 km SSE of Narragansett Pier, Rhode Island on May 14th at 4:42 a.m.

A few handfuls of people reported feeling a tremor when a 2.5 magnitude quake struck 17 km SSE of Narragansett Pier, Rhode Island at 10:15 p.m. on May 14th.

On May 15th, a 2.2 magnitude earthquake 18 km ENE of New Shoreham, Rhode Island was felt at 2:40 a.m.
