Southcoast Health expands clinical team with addition of nine new providers across the network

FAIRHAVEN, FALL RIVER, DARTMOUTH, LAKEVILLE, NEW BEDFORD, SEEKONK, TAUNTON and WAREHAM, Mass — Southcoast Health is pleased to announce that the not-for-profit community health system welcomed nine new providers this month. They are joining the cardiology, home-based medical care, family medicine, internal medicine, medical oncology, palliative care and urgent care specialties.

Erin Bernardo, DNP, AGPCNP-BC | Southcoast Health at Home

Erin Bernardo, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She now joins Southcoast Health at Home providing patients with palliative care.

Katherine Carpenter, MSN, FNP-BC | Medical Oncology

Katherine Carpenter obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. She now joins Southcoast Health Cancer Care seeing patients in Fall River and Fairhaven.

Phyllis Cook, MS, FNP-C | Internal Medicine

Phyllis Cook, MS, FNP-C, obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College in Weston, MA. She now joins Southcoast Health Internal Medicine caring for patients in Fall River.

Jennifer Duhon, MS, PA-C | Southcoast Health at Home

Jennifer Duhon, MS, PA-C obtained her Master of Science in Physician Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. She now joins Southcoast Health at Home providing home-based medical care. 

Katherine Hill, NP | Urgent Care

Katherine Hill, NP obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Illinois. She joins Southcoast Health Urgent Care caring for patients at all seven urgent care locations.

Karphly Murdock, FNP-BC | Family Medicine

Karphly Murdock, FNP-BC obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She now joins Southcoast Health Family Medicine caring for patients in Fall River.

Heather O’Connell, NP | Urgent Care

Heather O’Connell, NP obtained her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She now joins Southcoast Health Urgent Care caring for patients at all seven urgent care locations.

Philip Philips, MD | Wound Care

Philip Philips, MD obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. He now joins Southcoast Health Wound Care caring for patients at all three hospital locations.

Talia Roos, FNP-BC | Cardiology

Talia Roos, FNP-BC obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. She now joins Southcoast Health Heart & Vascular caring for patients at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
