Somerset Police looking for public’s help in recent theft



Somerset Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a recent theft.

According to Somerset Police, on August 15, 2019, at approximately 11:07 a.m., the unknown male pictured above entered the St. Anne’s Credit Union, located at 215 County Street, Somerset, presented a photo ID in someone else’s name, and withdrew $5,000 cash from a Home Equity Line of Credit without authorization.

The unknown male then left the bank, walking north across the bank parking lot to an adjacent parking lot where a silver sedan, possibly a Hyundai Sonata or Toyota Camry, unknown registration, was waiting. The sedan then exited the adjacent lot and drove south on County Street (MA Rt. 138).

An identification of the male party pictured above is needed. Any information on the suspect’s identity may be forwarded to Patrolman Matthew Lima of the Somerset Police Department via email ( or the business line phone number (508) 679-2138.
