Somerset Berkley High School, family, friends grieving as student dies unexpectedly
A Sophomore at Somerset-Berkley High School has passed away.
Noah Messier, 15, of Somerset, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 24, 2020, according to family.
His family states that Noah was an old soul who enjoyed old music, taking walks on the beach, chopping wood, lifting weights and playing video games.
A visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a Funeral Mass at St. Louis de France Church to follow at 12:00 PM. Cremation to follow. Face coverings and social distancing required.
Counseling is being offered by the school remotely.
Somerset-Berkley Principal Dr. Susan Brelsford asks those in the community to leave a candle in the front window of the home in tribute to Messier.
Brelsford asked the community for the same gesture this past March as within a 10 day span, 2019 graduates Christian Couto, 19, and Devyn Crosby, 18, died in a crash and student Kyla McGarry died from cancer.
