Several injured as train collides with truck in West Bridgewater
Police are investigating a serious crash between a train and a truck.
According to Bridgewater firefighters, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Bridgewater provided mutual aide to The Town Of West Bridgewater on East Street at the Railroad Crossing for a train vs pick up truck.
On arrival, Bridgewater Engine 1 hand carried the Jaws Of Life and other extrication tools 500 yards from the crossing to the head of the train to extricate 1 victim from the motor vehicle utilizing The Jaws Of Life.
Ambulance 1 And 2 treated and transported 2 other victims from the motor vehicle.
According to witnesses, a bus arrived to transport passengers off of the train.
According to West Bridgewater police, crews are working in the area. Until further notice, East Street at East Center Street is closed. East Street at Wall Street is also closed.
The incident is currently under investigation.
