Services, details released of Rehoboth boy killed in mauling
Services have been announced for a Rehoboth boy who tragically died after being mauled by dogs.
Ryan Hazel was enrolled in the community health program at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School. Ryan played football and ran track and field at the school. Prior to High School he played football for Dighton-Rehoboth Pop Warner, baseball for Dighton Little League, and wrestling. He was also a lover of animals.
Hazel’s grandmother took Ryan to 2477 Maple Swamp Road in Dighton where he typically took care of the Belgian Malinois and Dutch shepherds. A neighbor later discovered Ryan’s body.
According to an obituary, Ryan’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2:00PM in His Providence Church, 262 Swansea Mall Drive in Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held prior to his service in the church from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.
