A second defendant connected to a Fall River shooting where three were shot, two fatally, has been considered dangerous.

Dana Mazyck, 21, of Fall River, was apprehended on May 25 in Fall River by members of District Attorney Quinn’s Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit and Fall River Police detectives. He was charged with carrying an illegal firearm, carrying a loaded illegal firearm and unlawful discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building concerning the recent shooting in the area of Griffin Park in the Corky Row neighborhood.

Mazyck briefly appeared in Fall River District Court last week and was ordered held in jail pending the results of a dangerousness hearing, which took place today.

Mazyck was determined to present a danger to the public, and was ordered held without bail for 180 days.

According to WJAR 10, Mazyck opened fire six times, which included hitting a building, before running away. The prosecution provided a dozen photos as evidence.

Last week, charges against the first defendant, Jeremy Holmes, were upgraded to murder.

Mazyck’s next court appearance is scheduled to be a pre-trial hearing on July 1.
