Second confirmed case of COVID-19 in Bristol County is Mansfield resident
According to the Mansfield COVID-19 Task Force, the second confirmed case of COVID-19 in Bristol County is located in their town.
The Task Force was notified Monday of the first presumptive positive case of a Mansfield resident, according to a statement.
“The task force understands that this news can cause some anxiety but with an increased amount of testing available, it is important to note that we will be seeing more positive cases around the state, including here in Mansfield. Our Public Health and Safety Officials will continue their monitoring of the situation under proper established protocols. Knowing where the virus is will help us best respond to the spread.”
“We are reminded that we have to remain steadfast in our commitment to good hygiene and washing hands regularly. We also urge social distancing in all circumstances in order to help minimize the chance of spreading the virus to others. Please remember that we all have a role in lowering the curve of the number of positive cases moving forward. We are all in this together.”
The first confirmed case in Bristol County was confirmed to be an Easton resident.
