Same phone number accused of threatening schools throughout Massachusetts
One phone number is reportedly behind threats made to schools throughout the state, including in Bristol County.
According to police, just before noon today, the North Attleboro Police received a call via the business telephone line from a male threatening imminent harm to the high school. The caller was not certain of the town he was calling about.
The School Resource Officer and school administration were immediately notified. All available assets from the North Attleboro Police Department responded to the High School/Middle complex as well as troopers from the Massachusetts State Police.
With the school in lockdown a thorough search of the building and grounds was conducted and nothing suspicious was located.
Further investigation revealed that the same telephone number utilized to call NAPD was used to call other police departments to threaten schools throughout the Commonwealth.
On Tuesday, between 10 AM and noon three shooting/bomb threats were received by schools in Springfield, Great Barrington, and Greenfield.
At approximately 10:15 AM a shooting/bomb threat was received by a school in Clinton.
Between 10:45 AM and 11:45 AM shooting/bomb threats were received by schools in Duxbury, Edgartown, Harwich, and Fall River.
The threats received were consistent in content with each other and those made to other schools yesterday. State Police patrols, K9 teams, and the Bomb Squad responded to all of the above locations along with local police departments. Every school was cleared and the threats determined to be hoax calls. All incidents were reported to the State Police Commonwealth Fusion Center.
The Fusion Center is assisting in investigating the source or sources of the threats.
The threats listed above are those to which MSP has responded. There may have been other threats cleared solely by local police.

Have they questioned Pam Laliberte Lebeau? Apparently, she’s an expert at making threats using spoofed phone numbers.
