Route 24 and Route 44 to see upcoming ramp closures for multiple days due to paving operations

MassDOT’s contractor, SPS New England, will implement ramp closures along Route 44 and Route 24 to accommodate paving operations. To complete this work, the following ramp closures will be implemented:

Sunday, June 27, the following ramps will be closed intermittently throughout the night from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning:

-Route 44 Eastbound to Route 24 Northbound ramp closure
-Route 24 Northbound to Route 44 Eastbound and Westbound ramp closure
-Route 44 Westbound to Route 24 Southbound and Northbound ramp closure
-Route 24 Southbound to Route 44 Eastbound and Westbound ramp closure

Monday, June 28 and Tuesday, June 29 from 8:00 PM each night to 5:00 AM the following morning:

-Route 44 Eastbound to Route 24 Northbound ramp closure
-Route 24 Southbound to Route 44 Eastbound and Westbound ramp closure

Wednesday, June 30, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning:

-Route 24 Northbound to Route 44 Westbound ramp closure

Thursday, July 1 from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning:

-Route 44 Westbound to Route 24 Southbound ramp closure

Signage and police details will be in place to facilitate travel during these closures.

Detour Routes
Route 44 Westbound to Route 24 Southbound or Northbound

Drivers traveling on Route 44 Westbound looking to take the ramp to Route 24 Southbound or Northbound should continue on Route 44 Westbound to turn right on South Street West. From South Street West, drivers should turn left on Route 104 to turn left onto Route 44 Eastbound. From Route 44 Eastbound, take the appropriate ramp.

Route 24 Southbound to Route 44 Eastbound or Westbound

Drivers traveling on Route 24 Southbound looking to access Route 44 Eastbound or Westbound should use the Route 140 exit (Exit 17) to access Route 24 Northbound. From Route 24 Northbound, take Exit 20A to access Route 44 Eastbound. From Route 44 Eastbound, continue on Paramount Drive to turn left on Route 44 Westbound.

Route 44 Eastbound to Route 24 Northbound or Southbound

Drivers traveling on Route 44 Eastbound looking to take a ramp to Route 24 Northbound or Southbound should continue on Route 44 Eastbound to Paramount Drive, turn left onto Route 44 Westbound and take the appropriate exit ramp.

Route 24 Northbound to Route 44 Eastbound

Drivers traveling on Route 24 Northbound looking to access Route 44 Eastbound should take Exit 20A and follow the Route 104 detour to access Route 44 Eastbound.

Route 24 Northbound to Route 44 Westbound

Drivers traveling on Route 24 Northbound looking to access Route 44 Westbound should take Exit 20A from Route 24 Northbound to turn right on Route 44 Eastbound, continue on Route 44 Eastbound to Paramount Drive, and turn left onto Route 44 Westbound.
