UPDATE: Fall River road closure extended due to construction needed
UPDATE: Due to the construction required at the Middle Street and Broadway intersection, the closure must be extended for a one week period. It is now expected that intersection will open by April 26 2019.
Previous Story:
Deputy Administrator, Community Utilities Paul Ferland has announced a road closure.
The intersection of Broadway and Middle Street will be closed to all traffic starting April 8, 2019 until April 19, 2019 due to the drainage improvement project.
Traffic heading south on Broadway will be routed onto Bradford Avenue to Bay Street or South Main Street.
Traffic heading north should use South Main Street or Bay Street to avoid the area.
Traffic Heading west on Middle Street will be routed on to South Main Street. Local residents will be able to access their homes.
Due to weather and the nature of the underground construction these dates may be adjusted.
Every effort will be made to make all residents aware by means of Message Board signs leading into all the areas.
Please seek alternate routes or follow the posted detour signs.
