A local animal organization is looking for the public’s help after nearly two dozen rabbits had to be taken from a home.

Recently, the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals responded to a call from someone wanting to relinquish more than 15 rabbits. 20 ended up being seized, living in unsuitable living conditions and many are now in their care.

When asked what community the rabbits were seized from, RISPCA did not respond.

The RISPCA is looking for help with both the care of the rabbits and also with donations for them. The rabbits are in need of chew toys, fleece blankets and ceramic bowls. Items can be purchased via Amazon https://a.co/1k04lXY and mailed directly to the shelter at 186 Amaral Street Riverside, RI 02915.
