Rhode Island woman accused of breaking into ex-boyfriend’s home, driving vehicle into his, shooting at him while child in car
A Rhode Island woman is being accused of breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s home and later ramming and shooting at his vehicle all while having a young child in the car.
According to police, on Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m., Pawtucket Police began to investigate the report of a road rage/shooting incident. The victim. 32 of Pawtucket, reported to police that his ex- girlfriend, identified as 36-year-old Kendra Johnson, began to chase him down while he was driving his vehicle in the city. The victim reported that Johnson drove her vehicle into his multiple times and later produced a firearm and pointed it towards him and his passenger. As the victim fled, Johnson continued to chase down the victim and fired several gun shots striking his vehicle. Neither the victim nor his passenger were injured. The suspect vehicle fled the scene when the victim drove to the police station.
A broadcast for the suspect vehicle was put out and was subsequently located in Cranston. Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the Pawtucket Police Department.
Through the investigation, it was learned that Johnson had her 4-year-old child in the vehicle during the road rage/shooting incident. Also, Johnson had broken into the victim’s home earlier in the day and stole his wallet. At the time of Johnson’s arrest, the victim’s wallet was located in her possession. The firearm was later located at a home in Cranston where Johnson had stopped prior to being apprehended.
Johnson has been charged with Domestic Felony Assault, Felony Assault, Drive by Shootings, Carrying Pistol without a License, Large Capacity Feeding Device Prohibited, Domestic B&E, Child Endangerment, Firing in Compact Area, and Domestic Disorderly Conduct.
