Rhode Island man killed in car crash remembered for contagious laugh, always smiling
A Rhode Island man killed in an early morning crash is being remembered.
Just after 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, North Smithfield Police responded to a report of an unconscious and entrapped man after a single car crash at 535 Douglas Pike (Route 7).
32-year-old Jamey Scheer of Cranston was found not breathing and was transported to Landmark Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
Scheer’s girlfriend posted a touching and heartbreaking tribute to Scheer on social media.
“My angel my everything. All the memories we made I’ll cherish forever. I can’t wrap my head around this or why. My handsome. My all. If I could just hug and kiss you again. Please watch over me and give me strength. We had so many plans for the future. How am I going to sleep without you? Live without you? I love you Jamey more then you’ll ever know for the rest of my life.”
Scheer also leaves behind many family members and friends, but most importantly his daughter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for an education fund for October-Lee.
