Rhode Island man held without bail, facing list of drug charges

COVENTRY, RI – A Rhode Island man is facing several drug related charges.

According to Det. Lt. R. DeSisto, on Monday at approximately 11:30 a.m., Coventry Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Arnold Road in Coventry, for infractions of motor vehicle code.

While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, the officer was able to verify that the passenger, 33-year-old Daniel Chandronnet of West Warwick, was wanted by the Office of the Courts, on 5 3rd District Court bench warrants.

While conducting a search incident to arrest, officers uncovered controlled substance paraphernalia and a large sum of currency on his person. A further search of the vehicle and his belongings yielded additional narcotic evidence, along with packaging and distribution materials.

Chandronnet faces the charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Oxycodone, Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Schedule I-V, and 5 3rd District Court bench warrants.


Chandronnet was subsequently transported to Coventry Police HQ where he was processed.
and held overnight.

On Tuesday, Chandronnet was brought before a judicial officer of the 3rd District Court and ordered held without bail.
