Residents lose everything in early morning house fire in Swansea
Residents of a home damaged in a weekend fire in Swansea say they have lost everything.
According to the Swansea Fire Department, early Saturday morning, Swansea Firefighters responded to Oceanview Avenue for reports of a structure fire.
Engine 2 arrived on scene and confirmed that it was a working fire.
Crews from Engine 1 2 and 3 stretched 1 3/4 and 2 1/2-inch hose lines to knock the fire down as crews from Ladder 1 vented the roof to help with fire conditions. Firefighter remained on scene with extensive overhaul and salvage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Swansea Fire and Massachusetts State police assigned to the State Fire Marshal’s office.
