Report: Northeast takes 7 of top 11 spots for best states to raise a family
With rampant inflation making raising children much more costly than usual, the personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on 2023’s Best & Worst States to Raise a Family.
To determine the best states in which to put down family roots, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 51 key indicators of family-friendliness. The data set ranges from the median annual family income to housing affordability to the unemployment rate.
Massachusetts came in at #1 in the report due to the following data:
Raising a Family in Massachusetts (1=Best; 25=Avg.):
30th – % of Families with Young Children
3rd – Infant-Mortality Rate
14th – Median Annual Family Income (Adjusted for Cost of Living)
19th – Violent Crimes per Capita
10th – % of Families in Poverty
21st – Unemployment Rate
11th – Separation & Divorce Rate
2nd – Percentage of Residents Aged 12+ Who Are Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19
The Northeast overall fared well with New York placing third, Vermont taking 5th, New Hampshire coming in 6th, New Jersey 7th, and Connecticut taking the 10th spot with Rhode Island following at 11th.
Mississippi ranked last with New Mexico 49th and West Virginia 48th.

So what makes you an expert? Ever travel beyond New England? You should take a vacation to Mississippi, a red state you would probably love! Yep it has crumbling infrastructure, poison water, failing schools, high property and loads of corruption but low taxes!
Funny how low IQ people complain like crazy about Massachusetts but they don’t move out. Might be because it’s one of the best states to live in? And now it’s the end of the world because we have woman running the state! 😂😂😂😂
