Repeat Fall River drug trafficker sentenced to prison

A 42-year-old Fall River woman was sentenced to serve five to six years in state prison last week, after being convicted of trafficking in excess of 36 grams of Fentanyl, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced.

Jamie Nobles, who previously served a three to four year state prison term for selling heroin, pleaded guilty in Fall River Superior Court last Thursday to the single count indictment.

On June 14, 2019, Fall River Police, had a search warrant for the defendant’s 26 Arthur Street apartment. When police arrived on scene, they observed the defendant leave her residence, enter a vehicle and begin to drive away. The car was pulled over by police and the defendant was brought back to her apartment for the execution of the search warrant. is informed of the search warrant. The defendant was first searched by police, who found a gram of Fentanyl in her pocket, along with $1,017 in cash. While searching the apartment, police located and seized another 45 grams of Fentanyl and packaging materials.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Daniel Walsh and the state prison sentence was imposed by Judge William Sullivan.

“This defendant was recently released from incarceration for selling heroin. Unfortunately, she picked right up where she left off and continued selling lethal opiates. Selling Fentanyl contributes to the ongoing opiate crisis in our neighborhoods and communities,” District Attorney Quinn said.
