A Fall River establishment is set to re-open just days after the anniversary of a fire that put it out of business.

A call came in for flames inside the Reis Meat Market at 375 Alden Street just after 10:15 p.m. on August 7th, 2022.

The main body of the fire was in the middle of the building which caused extensive damage to the interior.

At the time, ownership pledged to rebuild.

“As many of you already know and for those that don’t, on the evening of August 7th there was a fire here at Reis Meat Market. Thankfully no one was in the building at the time. Thankfully no one was hurt, but unfortunately the store suffered damage inside. We are currently closed as we begin to clean up and prepare to repair and rebuild. We just want to take a moment to first and foremost thank the Fall River Fire Department for their quick response and quick extinguishing of the fire. We also want to take a moment to thank everyone who has reached out with their thoughts, prayers and concern. It means a lot to us to know the community is thinking of us during this tough time. We will keep everyone updated. We will be back looking better than ever, but with same great products you have come to know and love soon!”

Now the time has come.

The business announced on Friday that they will finally re-open on August 15th.

“It’s the moment you have all been waiting for, we are ready to re-open! We know you all have been patiently waiting to have some of our delicious Chourico and our amazing Lunch Buffet! We can’t wait to see you all! We do have to let you know that we won’t be quite ready to offer our Rotisserie Chicken, Ribs, and Catering but, we will be bringing that all back very soon! See you all on Tuesday! Share the good news with everyone you know!”

We wish Reis Meat Market success with their rebuilt business!
