Raynham Police and Fire Departments respond to Route 44 motorcycle crash that threw 21-year-old 50 feet
RAYNHAM — Police Chief David LaPlante and Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita report that the Raynham Police and Fire Departments responded to a motorcycle crash late Saturday night on Route 44.
At just after 10:15 p.m., the Raynham Police and Fire Departments responded to reports of a crash between a 2017 Toyota Corolla and a Honda motorcycle in the area of 115 New State Highway (Route 44).
Upon arrival, emergency crews found the motorcycle operator, a 21-year-old man from Taunton, lying in the roadway and suffering from multiple traumatic injuries after being thrown 40-50 feet. The motorcyclist was alert and speaking to first responders. The operator of the car was uninjured and cooperated with law enforcement.
The operator of the motorcycle was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries. Canton Fire Department’s field blood transfusion truck intercepted Raynham Fire Department’s ambulance during transport to the hospital.
No charges have been filed at this time, and the crash is currently under investigation by the Raynham Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
