A popular chicken chain is looking for its second location in Bristol County. This time, Fall River.

According to recently released records, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers struck an agreement on February 5th to locate at 323 William S. Canning Blvd.

The agreement comes on the heels of the brand announcing plans for 100 new locations in 2024 so Fall River area residents may not have to wait long.

In the summer of 2021, Family Foods Grocery Outlet at 323 William S. Canning Boulevard closed and was later purchased by the Procaccianti Group.

The group demolished the building and planned to construct a Neon Gas Station & Convenience Store. Ralph Izzi Jr., Vice President Corporate Marketing & Public Affairs at Procaccianti Companies, anticipated completion of the new Neon Marketplace in Fall River for late 2023 but the project was later scratched.

That led to the agreement between Neon and Raising Cane.

The fast-food chain is known for hand battered chicken that’s marinated for 24 hours, then cooked to order. Their Cane’s Sauce® is made fresh daily in every Cane’s® Restaurant. The eatery also features lightly salted crinkle-cut fries, creamy coleslaw, Texas toast and a chicken sandwich.

Representatives stressed that in addition to the food, the brand also prides itself on having a beautiful landscape at their locations.

Raising Cane opened Tuesday at the site of the former Pier 1 Imports at 175 Highland Avenue in Seekonk.

The Seekonk location is approximately 3,000 square feet, has dual drive-thru lanes, and will seat 100 customers in their dining room.

Raising Cane’s opened their first restaurant in Louisiana on August 28th, 1996, and now boasts over 700 locations.
