A project has begun that will add over 100 apartments and more to the City of Fall River.

In 2021, Cordeiro Properties purchased the land that housed the former historic Thomas Edison Light Station at 60 Hartwell Street in downtown Fall River which will now become The Lofts at Hartwell Street.

According to Cordeiro Properties, earlier this year, plans began to construct the 6-story, 70-foot tall, residential building with a steel primary building structure and metal deck/concrete floor plate.

The project calls for 102 market-rate apartments (one-, two- and three-bedroom units.) This will be the 5th building belonging to the Downtown Lofts community.

The property will not just house apartment units. There will be off-street parking, a fitness room, community room and up to 3 grade level commercial tenant spaces.

The architectural design plans to connect with the history of the City of Fall River with its brick and granite mills while also pointing towards the future of the city, featuring contemporary wood and steel siding.

” market-rate ” priced beyond affordability $2K a month in a city where people are getting stabbed around the corner at the bus terminal and getting shot each week.

Over priced apartments for sure and located in the ghetto. This area is filled with the lowest of the low. Nothing but welfare mommas and gangbangers

The prices are high because of lack of housing stock and the two fools above must think the government has the force them into lower prices or something socialist. It’s obvious the two above are not or never been business people.

We need all the housing stock we can get to fix the problem and when there’s enough housing stock The laws of supply and demand will take over and prices will drop. I believe the government should start constructing low income housing so there’s more available for everybody else and maybe prices will drop.

This is what happens when people get their news from Fox and conspiracy websites. Of course it takes low IQ to be suckered into either of the above.
