President Trump approves Massachusetts major disaster declaration
Yesterday, President Donald J. Trump declared that a major disaster exists in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and ordered Federal assistance to supplement Commonwealth, tribal, and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic beginning on January 20, 2020, and continuing.
Governor Baker had made the request on Thursday.
The disaster declaration, request by Baker, included a request for FEMA’s Public Assistance Program, which now makes financial assistance available to cities and towns, state agencies, and certain non-profits statewide. The disaster declaration also requested FEMA’s Individual Assistance Program including Disaster Unemployment Assistance and Crisis Counseling Assistance to help support residents in need during this unprecedented incident.
Federal funding is now available to Commonwealth, tribal, and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations for emergency protective measures, including direct Federal assistance, for all areas in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts impacted by COVID-19.
Pete Gaynor, Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, named W. Russell Webster as the Federal Coordinating Officer for Federal recovery operations in the affected areas.
Additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the Commonwealth and warranted by the results of further assessments.

Massachusetts is a major disaster but not because of the Chinese Wuhan Virus. It is a disaster because it is ruled over by socialist demoncrats. I’m ready to get the hell out of this shithole and not be responsible for supporting all the bums that flock here for govt. benefits.
