Portsmouth and Middletown Police, Fire, EMS respond to multi-vehicle fiery crash that sent several to the hospital
Several communities responded Saturday to a multi-vehicle fiery crash that sent multiple people to the hospital.
Just after 7:45 p.m., Portsmouth Firefighters responded to a 911 call in the area of Burma Road reporting a major motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles and reports that one of the vehicles was on fire.
According to PFD, Portsmouth Fire Department Car 2 (Assistant Chief), Engine 3, Engine 1, Rescue 2, Middletown Fire Department Rescue 1 & Engine 1, and Navy Fire Rescue 75 responded to the scene.
Three patients were transported to area hospitals.
Both vehicles involved sustained major damage.
The Portsmouth Police Department and Middletown Police Department were also on scene.
The crash is under investigation.
