Popular southern New England Renaissance Festival set to open this weekend

King Richard’s Faire, a popular New England Renaissance Festival is about to open for 2023.


Entertainment, exciting rides, and challenging games abound on the Faire’s enchanting 80-acre wooded site. Minstrels, acrobats, fire eaters, aerialists, and larger-than-life-size puppets appear throughout the grounds. Hundreds of talented performers entertain patrons simultaneously on eight stages and in the lanes. The King’s daring knights battle on horseback thrice daily in jousting tournaments and bawdy beggars compete in mud.

Giant spit-roasted turkey legs, ringlets of fryes, and boules of chowder or stew are available for purchase. Don’t forget to quench your thirst with signature cocktails, champagne, wine, mead, and brew.

Talented artisans journey from around the globe to display unique treasures, jewelry and handcrafted wares. Delight in period leather, armor, and footwear. Discover beautiful face and body painting along with artisans who craft swords, ceramics, and much more. Revel in scented oils, fantasy creatures, perfumes, henna tattoos, and even psychic and tarot readings.

King Richard’s Faire is the largest, biggest, and best Renaissance festival in the six states of New England and takes place at 235 Main Street in Carver, MA.

The Faire is open weekends from September 2nd – October 22nd, 2023, including Monday holidays September 4th & October 9th.
Gates open 10:30 a.m. & close at 6:00 p.m.

Ticket prices are $39 for 12+ and $20 for children 4 to 11 from September 2nd to 30th. Children three and under get in for free. Tickets are $43 for 12+ and $24 for children 4 to 11 from October 1st to 22nd with three and under still free.
