Police warn parents about 48 hour challenge
A Facebook challenge that came to the surface in 2017, has gotten back on the radar of police across the country once again.
The challenge involves teens who dare their friends to disappear for 48 hours to have their name and/or picture show up across Facebook and social media.
The missing teen gets points for each like, share, and comment.
Police across the country in places like Kansas City, Albuquerque, and Charlotte are warning parents about the challenge along with stressing the fact that it puts a strain on department resources on top of needlessly worrying friends and family.
A Rock Hill South Carolina girl was reported missing a few weeks ago. About 24 hours later, she was found hiding under her bed and surrounded by shoes.
If you are concerned about your child attempting this stunt, and he/she has a smartphone, have their location finder turned on to make it easier to track them.
