Police release name of 27-year-old Taunton woman who died from gunshot wounds, remembered as full of life
Authorities have released the name of a Bristol County woman that was shot to death.
According to police, at just after 11:15 p.m., on Friday, May 31, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of 36 Edson Street for a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries where she was later pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified as Pereshah Shear-Yashub, 27, of Taunton.
Those who knew Shear-Yashub described her as sweet and full of life who was beautiful inside and out.
The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
