Police looking for suspect in Attleboro bank robbery

On November 15, 2019 at approximately 1:27 PM, the Attleboro Police Department responded to a reported bank robbery at the Santander Bank located at 16 Park St.

Multiple patrol units arrived on scene shortly after receiving the call and quickly learned that a male subject had entered the bank, approached a teller, and passed a note demanding money.

The male suspect then fled the bank after receiving money. He was last seen fleeing on foot on Bank St. towards Sanford St.

The suspect is described as a light skinned, possibly Hispanic, male of average height and build. He is described as being unshaven, with a stubbly beard. He was wearing a gray and black zip-up jacket, black pants, black shoes, and a gray knit cap with the letter “B” on the back.

The suspect did not display any weapon, and no one was reported injured.

The Attleboro Police Department was assisted in the initial search for the suspect by K-9 units from the Massachusetts State Police and the Seekonk Police Department.

At this time, the investigation is active and on-going.

The amount of money which the suspect fled with is not being disclosed at this time.

The Attleboro Police Department Detective Division continues to investigate this incident, and Detective Paul Lesbirel is the lead investigator.
