Police looking for public’s help to catch Tuesday porch pirate
It is that time of year again where porch pirates come out to scoop up packages and Christmas gifts. Another one has struck.
The Johnston Police Department is investigating a larceny of a UPS package from the front porch of a Custer Avenue resident.
The victim reported to police having video surveillance of the larceny and the suspect stealing their packace on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 3:30 pm. The suspect is depicted on video surveilance fleeing the area in a black Dogdge Caravan with unknown RI registration plates. What is distinctive about the suspect’s vehicle is that the driver’s side brake and tail lamps are not functioning and the vehicle is missing the front driver’s hubcap. The suspect can be described as a darked skinned female, wearing a brown jacket and green pants with long braided black hair tied in a bun.
The Johnston Police is requesting the public’s assitance in identifying the suspect and if you have any information that may aid in the investigation you are encouraged to contact Detective Major Dolan at Police Headquaters (401-757-3139).
