Police investigating weekend shooting where victim was shot three times
Police are looking for the public’s help involving a shooting in the city this past weekend.
According to Captain Daniel Dube, on July 4th at approximately 10:45 p.m., patrol units responded to the area of Peckham Street and East Main Street regarding gun shots.
During the investigation, evidence of shots being fired was found by police. FRPD later received information indicating a gunshot victim was admitted to Charlton Memorial Hospital.
The victim was later transported to Rhode Island Hospital with 3 gunshot wounds that were non-life-threatening.
The victim was extremely uncooperative when talking to police, according to Dube.
