Police investigating fatal Route 24 multi-vehicle crash
The crash this evening on Route 24 in Freetown has turned fatal.
At approximately 8:40 p.m. today Troopers assigned to State Police-Dartmouth responded to multiple reports of a crash on Route 24 Northbound south of Exit 10 in Freetown.
Upon the arrival of Troopers, they discovered 3 vehicles involved with multiple injuries, one of which was life-threatening. Freetown Fire and EMS responded to the scene and quickly determined this individual to be deceased.
The crash remains in the preliminary phase of investigation. No other information is available at this time according to police.
Troopers were assisted on scene by MassDOT, Bristol County State Police Detective Unit, Crime Scene Services Section, and Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section.
A Fall River man died on Route 24 in Freetown earlier this month.
A Wareham man was also killed on Route 24 in Freetown earlier this month.
