Police investigating fatal Freetown crash
Police are investigating a fatal Freetown crash.
According to Freetown Police, Route 140 south bound is closed due to a serious motor vehicle crash at the Freetown/New Bedford line. All traffic is being diverted off of 140 at exit 8 (Chace Road).
Detours to get to exit 7 will be via Braley Road to Chipaway Road , or County road into New Bedford.
The highway was closed for several hours and has since been re-opened.
Massachusetts State Police have confirmed the crash is fatal.
