Police Departments across the country warn of new personalized scam

Police Departments in our area and across the country are warning people of yet another scam going around.

In a recent post to social media, the Carver Massachusetts Police Department noted that they have received several reports of a new scam where the scammers are texting your cellphone. This scam uses your first name and advises you that you have a package awaiting delivery, but you must complete a survey prior to delivery.

Many posts like this have been circulating across the country issuing the same warning to residents.
