Police arrest suspect in Somerset bank robbery Wednesday
Police have arrested a suspect in a Somerset bank robbery from earlier this month.
According to Somerset Police, on July 5, at approximately 12:05 p.m., the St. Michaels Credit Union was robbed by a white male wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
Surveillance footage revealed that the suspect exited the property and got into a Cadillac. Detectives obtained additional information and were able to identify a potential suspect.
A two week investigation lead by Detectives of the Somerset Police Department along with Officer Michael DeMoranville concluded today with the arrest of Thomas Rodrigues Jr., 31, of Dartmouth.
Detective Lieutenant Jason Matos, Detective Sargent William Tedford, Detective Nicholas Davidson, Detective James Cardella and Officer Michael DeMoranville were all involved in the capture of Rodrigues.
