Fall River Police arrest one, summons another, on drug related charges
The Fall River Police Department arrested one city man and summonsed another on various drug related charges last week.
According to Lt. Jay Huard, on May 15th, Vice and Intelligence Detective Joshua Robillard was in the area of 1010 South Main Street when he observed two individuals standing on the sidewalk. Detective Robillard recognized the two as previously being involved in drug activity and continued to monitor the situation.
Robillard was able to overhear the individuals discussing going to a location in the south end of the city to pick up drugs. After hearing this, Robillard contacted other detectives and had them respond to the area and assist him in the investigation. Vice Detectives eventually followed the suspicious men to Pokross Street. Both men then separated and one of the men, Chad Latinville, 40, of Buffinton Street, approached a gray Nissan SUV, according to police. Detectives observed a hand to hand transaction between Latinville and the male operator of the SUV, who was later identified as Steven Torres-Camacho, 33, of Mulberry Street.
Detectives approached both men and detained them as part of their investigation.
A search of the gray SUV, yielded 24 small bags of suspected crack cocaine, which totaled to 39.35 grams, 15 small bags of suspected fentanyl, which totaled to 4.24 grams, and $2,308 cash.
