A man has been arrested after reportedly committing some disturbing conduct at a southern Massachusetts mall.

According to police, last night, KPD responded to the Kingston Collection shopping mall regarding an individual allegedly acting in a lewd manner.

After an investigation, including reviewing photographic evidence as well as interviews with multiple witnesses and the suspect, it is alleged that a 28-year-old male party from Burlington, CT was apparently watching sexually explicit material on his cell phone and stimulating himself sexually while inside of a busy movie theater at Regal Cinemas within the mall. The allegations include multiple individuals who observed the action, including at least one juvenile.

As a result, the suspect was arrested and a complaint application is being submitted requesting the suspect face charges of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, Accost/Annoy Another Person, Obscene Matter to Minor and Disorderly Conduct.

The Kingston Police Department commended those involved in helping capture the suspect.

“The caller, witnesses, and staff from Regal Cinemas and Kingston Collection did an exceptional job and were instrumental in making a strong case against this suspect.
You may recall, exactly two months ago, we arrested an adult male at the Kingston Collection for a different sex crime involving juveniles. This is a different suspect. This suspect was held on bail and is scheduled for arraignment this morning in Plymouth District Court. Kingston PD would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant in public places and have conversations with your children about how to respond to suspicious individuals. We would like to thank the public for their assistance in taking another alleged offender off the street.”
