Police and fire respond to multiple accidents on Route 195
Police are investigating a serious crash early this morning on Route 195.
According to Swansea Police, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Swansea Police Officers Gaspar, Rowland and Sgt. Chomka responded to Route 195 East for a motor vehicle crash.
The crash occurred in the work zone under the Route 6 overpass.
Police stated that the crash led to 3 other crashes on Route 195.
Massachusetts State Police, Swansea Fire Dept, Swansea Ambulance Corps and Somerset Fire Dept also responded to the scene.
Injuries were reported with entrapment.
Traffic was at a standstill on Route 195, according to witnesses.
Swansea Police wanted to remind all motorists to move over and slow down for all emergency vehicles, construction vehicles, tow trucks and disabled vehicles.
